iPhone Basics: Get Organized, January 4th, 10:30 AM-12:00 PM
Want to be more confident using your iPhone Smartphone? Nancy Komlanc, The Tech Tutor, will teach you how to: organize your "Home Screen" to make it less confusing, increase your font size for texting and emails, send a text message and add a photo, and more! Bring your iPhone to this workshop so you can make these phone adjustments! Registration Fee $15. Register at ARC. Payment expected upon registration.
Android Basics, January 4th & 15th, 1-2:30 PM
Want to really learn and be confident on how to use your Android Smart Phone? Join us to learn: how to organize your "Home Screen" to make it less confusing, how to increase your font size for texting, the importance of keeping your phone charged and sanitized, how to save money by using the WiFi, how to set-up "Speed Dialing", how to check Voice Mail, how to send a text, plus add a photo, and more! Balance Screenings & Informational Seminar: Join Caitlin Schober from Athletico on January 9th at 10:30 AM for an informational presentation on balance. She will perform balance screenings and explain what the results mean. She will also give recommendations on how to improve balance. Register for this program at ARC or by calling 888-9099.
Program Highlights January
Take Charge of Your Health Workshop: Join us Fridays, January 11th-February 15th from 8:30-11:00 AM to learn more about self-managing your chronic health conditions. Annette Morrison & Debbie Hayek from Community Care Systems, Inc. will lead this six-week course to give you a tool kit that will take the struggle out of coping with your health. The class is free, but you will have the option to purchase the course book Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions after the course ends. This is a Stanford University, evidence-based curriculum measured for success! Register at ARC.
Beginning Guitar Lessons: Learn the basic chords you need to strum along with your favorite folk songs and the simple techniques that will make them sound the best. January 14, 21, 28, February 11, 18, 25 from 1-2 PM.Provide your own acoustic guitar. The cost to attend this 6-week session is $40.00. Register for the session at ARC. Payment expected upon registration.
ARC Tech Club: Stay up-to-date in technology and meet monthly over lunch at the ARC to share tech news & views. Finding it hard in retirement to keep up with technology? This new club will meet over lunch with each attendee sharing a technology they found interesting. Questions? Call ARC at 309-888-9099.
