Walgreen's Flu Shot Clinic: October 1, 9 - 11 AM: Walgreens is giving flu shots on Tuesday, October 1st from 9:00-11:00 AM. If you are 65 or older, you will need to bring your Medicare Part B card with you and Walgreens will help you fill out your paperwork. There is no cost for the Flu shots. To make an appointment, call ARC at 888-9099 or register in person. Register in person you may pick up an insurance form and fill it out before you come.

ISU Senior Professionals Educational Offerings: October 2, 10:30 AM
Shari O’Donnell, Chair of the ISU Sr. Professionals Education Committee, will be highlighting the educational lectures and classes being offered during this fall semester. Neptune Memorial Reef: October 3, 10:30 AM: 
The Neptune Memorial Reef is located approximately 3 miles off of the coast of Key Biscayne in Florida and is the largest man-made reef ever created. This reef is a resting place for those who choose cremation and want to be memorialized in a unique underwater setting. Once completed, the reef will cover 16 acres on the ocean floor providing a resting place for more than 150,000 individuals. The Neptune Memorial Reef has created a unique and exciting dive destination while showcasing the artwork of renowned Keys sculptor and artist Kim Brandell. Carol Boerckel: Watercolor Textures: October 11, 9 AM - 3:30 PM: 
Watercolor textures for all levels. From light or bold images. Black-and-white or color. Learn a new texture in watercolor. We will work on two paintings at the same time. Learn classic layout designs for your composition. All levels welcome! Supplies: watercolor brushes, paint from tubes is best. If buying for the first time get only three colors in a professional grade. Some suggestions are any blue, magenta or permanent rose, and aureolin yellow. Watercolor paper 140 pound coldpressed, rag cotton like arches brand. Any size of several sheets. Spray bottle, Kleenex, kneaded eraser, Number two pencil, toothbrush, water bucket, straw, saran wrap, salt, an old used fabric softener dryer towel.
