Internet TV: January 24, 1:00 PM: Tired of paying that high Cable bill? Nancy, Tech Tutor, will show you step-by-step how many of us are saving $100 a month by gradually moving from Cable TV to Internet TV. Using the same internet connection you already pay for you can still watch your favorite shows, movies, sports, news, Netflix, Amazon Prime, & more! In this "hands-on class,” Nancy will show you how to set-up an inexpensive device to an ARC TV so you can save money. Register for this class at ARC. The cost to attend this program is $15. Payment is expected upon registration. Register at least 2 days before the workshop.
New Member Orientation: January 28, 3:00 PM: 
Orientation will help acquaint both new members and any current members who just want to learn more about ARC with reading & receiving the monthly newsletter,
extended travel options & local bus trips
fitness center orientations & Functional Fitness Fix, key membership policies, the importance of checking in, how to do so, and WiFi use, benefits of volunteering at ARC, opportunities to give back, ARC Advisory Board structure, Panera Bread & Midwest Food Bank deliveries and more.
VITA Free Income Tax Preparation: Fridays, January 31 - April 10 by appointment, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM: 
Have your federal and state taxes prepared by an IRS-certified volunteer for FREE. VITA services are offered through the Bloomington-Normal VITA Foundation and Mount Moriah VITA. Who Qualifies? SINGLE INDIVIDUALS WITH NO DEPENDENTS and income $35,000 or less, SINGLE WITH DEPENDENTS OR MARRIED and income $55,000 or less. Please Bring:
1. tax information such as W-2, 1099 etc.
2. Social Security Cards (or ITINs) for all persons on the return
3. Government-issued picture ID (taxpayer and spouse if Married Filing Jointly)
4. Copy of your 2016 Federal Tax Return
5. Proof of Health Insurance Information/ form 1095A

Google Docs & Sheets: January 20 & 27, 9 - 11 AM: Join David Hernandez, IT for Normal Township, for a FREE two-day class on how to use Google Docs and Sheets. In this class, you will learn how to access your Gmail account, access Google Docs/Sheets, create, edit and save documents online for free, enhance a document, share a document, and save a document in Google Docs/Sheets. If you have your own Wifi enabled laptop or tablet, bring it. Register for this class at ARC or by calling 888-9099. You must have a known Gmail account with a known password to participate in this class. If you need help setting it up stop by our Drop-in Assistance on Thursdays from 9-11 AM. 
Karaoke: Tuesdays, 10:00 AM: 
Join members for a fun hour of karaoke starting Tuesday, January 7th. The group will meet every Tuesday at 10 AM in the Auditorium. Karaoke is when you sing a song with the help of a mic and lyrics flashing on the screen. It serves the purpose of entertaining a group of friends who are ready to have some fun.
Foundation for Financial Education: Tax Planning Strategies 2020: January 22, 10:30 AM: 
Learn methods of tax avoidance and options of tax-free savings that are available to you. Discuss tax-deferral vs. tax-deductible vs. tax-free and the impact of each.
