March is National Crafting Month! To celebrate, please consider participating in ARC's Quarantine Quilt Raffle for a chance to win the beautiful and unique quilt that our quilters created as a representation of their families and favorite activities to take part in during quarantine.
You can purchase your raffle tickets at https://go.rallyup.com/arcnormal. Raffle tickets are $10 for 10, $25 for 30, $50 for 75 and $100 for 200.
A description of the quilt's design from the quilting group: "The center square represents the COVID-19 virus. The colored squares surrounding the virus represent our homes. The white circles represent each of us and those who sheltered in place in our homes. Spouses, children, and pets are represented by the number and size of the circles on each square. ARC members, the Normal Township staff, and Township Board members also made colored squares. On the back of the quilt, we used fabric that represented what we did during quarantine."
The Quarantine Quilt raffle will be open online through March 31st, so be sure to grab your virtual tickets now. The winner will be randomly selected and notified on April 1st. We will deliver the quilt to the lucky winner's door!

Obtaining a leaf on the tree requires a $500.00 contribution. Gifts can be made to any of the designations listed above, and you can choose between 3 message options:
No matter the size of your gift, when you make a donation to ARC, you are helping us to reach and exceed our goals for providing a comprehensive range of recreational activities and services to the 55+ community. By donating, you leave a legacy that helps to ensure that our mission to enhance quality of life for Bloomington-Normal seniors can be fulfilled. To make a gift here on ARC's website, click the yellow "Donate" button found at the top of any page next to the center hours of operation and phone number.
ARC greatly appreciates your consideration of making a charitable gift to benefit local seniors. Feel free to contact Samantha Scott at firstname.lastname@example.org or 309-888-9099 to further discuss ways to give, or see the information listed below.
Build the ARC 2021- A donation to the ARC Living Memorial Fund in 2021 can be designated to the Green Space Initiative or to General Support to support ARC's greatest needs as they arise.
The videos you will find to the right are great resources to learn more about how we started this initiative in 2019 (top video) and where we hope to take the space following the 2021 campaign.
The ARC Living Memorial Fund is a 501(c)3 organization. All gifts to the ARC Living Memorial Fund are tax-deductible. Anyone wishing to make a commitment to the ARC Living Memorial Fund, must fill out the ARC Pledge Form and submit it to the staff at ARC.
Life Insurance: Obtain a beneficiary designation form from your life insurance provider, and name ARC Living Memorial Fund as the beneficiary.
Bequest: Make a gift to ARC in your will.
Matched Gift: When you decide to support ARC with a monetary gift, make sure you check to see if you work for (or are retired from) a company that matches charitable gifts for employees and retirees. A matching gift company is one that will match your gift in a specific ratio. Matching gifts require that the donor completes a matching gift form obtained from his or her employer's Human Resources Department. Typically, all you need is a receipt of your gift to ARC for your employer to verify before obtaining the matching gift form. Return completed forms to your employer's Human Resources Department. You can also contact them with any questions about the matching gift process.
EXAMPLE: State Farm will match (1:1) all gifts up to $1,500 for current employees and retirees in order to help your gift make an even greater impact!
Gifts of Equipment: Please contact Director of Operations Rick Lewis or Director of Programming Molly Camper if you have an interest in donating equipment to ARC.
The goal for Build the ARC 2021 is to build on the success of 2019 and 2020 by raising funds to create outdoor activity space on the east side of the ARC building, which will include accessible walking paths, raised garden beds, native plants, educational space and more. We are so excited to see this new dimension of ARC programming take shape and to give our members the opportunity to get active outdoors and experience the therapeutic benefits of nature.
