Life Insurance:  Obtain a beneficiary designation form from your life insurance provider, and name ARC Living Memorial Fund as the beneficiary.

Bequest:  Make a gift to ARC in your will.

Matched Gift: When you decide to support ARC with a monetary gift, make sure you check to see if you work for (or are retired from) a company that matches charitable gifts for employees and retirees.  A matching gift company is one that will match your gift in a specific ratio.  Matching gifts require that the donor completes a matching gift form obtained from his or her employer's Human Resources Department.  Typically, all you need is a receipt of your gift to ARC for your employer to verify before obtaining the matching gift form.  Return completed forms to your employer's Human Resources Department.  You can also contact them with any questions about the matching gift process.

EXAMPLE: State Farm will match (1:1) all gifts up to $1,500 for current employees and retirees in order to help your gift make an even greater impact!

Gifts of Equipment:  Please contact Director of Operations Rick Lewis or Director of Programming Molly Camper if you have an interest in donating equipment to ARC.

The ARC Living Memorial Fund has determined the following priorities for charitable contributions to the 2022 Build the ARC Campaign.

Fitness Programming Upgrades and Additions – Replace aging equipment and provide options that meet ADA specifications and upgrade technology and storage to enhance ARC’s exercise class offerings. Classroom Updates – Replace and upgrade aging countertops and equipment used for art and craft-related programming including storage and organizational equipment. Green Space Initiative – The next phase of the green space project will focus on adding finishes that will beautify the outdoor space and allow members to enjoy outdoor programs. These finishes may include native plants, outdoor furnishings, outdoor program equipment etc.

If you’d like to give a gift but don’t have a specific priority in mind, you may choose to make a gift toward general support and ensure that ARC can continue to make a difference for local seniors now and into the future

The videos you will find to the right are great resources to learn more about our goals for the green space project from 2019 (top video) to now and what the space will look like once complete.

The green space project will break ground in spring 2022, and the ARC Living Memorial Fund is just $15,675 away from reaching our Phase 1 fundraising goal of $75,000.  More details on Phase 2 fundraising goals for 2022 and beyond will be shared as we approach groundbreaking.

The ARC Living Memorial Fund is a 501(c)3 organization.  All gifts to the ARC Living Memorial Fund are tax-deductible.  Anyone wishing to make a commitment to the ARC Living Memorial Fund, must fill out the ARC Pledge Form and submit it to the staff at ARC.

ARC Giving Tree:  The Giving Tree is a one-of-a-kind piece of art created by ISU professor, Randy Reid.  The tree allows members, their families, and individuals and businesses in the community to show their support for local seniors by leaving a legacy at ARC.  Obtaining a leaf on the tree requires a $500.00 contribution.  Gifts can be made to any of the designations listed above, and you can choose between 3 message options:

  • In Honor of...
  • In Loving Memory
  • Individual/Family/Business recognition

No matter the size of your gift, when you make a donation to ARC, you are helping us to reach and exceed our goals for providing a comprehensive range of recreational activities and services to the 55+ community. By donating, you leave a legacy that helps to ensure that our mission to enhance quality of life for Bloomington-Normal seniors can be fulfilled.  To make a gift here on ARC's website, click the yellow "Donate" button found at the top of any page next to the center hours of operation and phone number.
